The 2024 Poetry in the Park event was another success this year! The theme of “Poet’s Choice” offered poet’s an opportunity to read some of their favorite work. As usual, BWW poets graced the stage with literary talent that got a resounding positive reception from the audience.

Best selling author Charlie Donlea spoke to BWW members about his path to getting published at Barrington’s White House. All who attended appreciated his candor, knowledge and wisdom when speaking about his road to success as an author.

Congratulations to Thomas Pharmakis who won the Chicago Writers’ Association – First Chapter Contest. He is the second BWW member to win this award. Janet Souter won in 2020.
